my family always puts it up the weekend after thanksgiving.
which is what i used to do.

last year i didn't put it up until a week before christmas....and it seemed kind of pointless to go to all that trouble.

the year before i didn't put one up.... (my mom had just died.)

when do you put yours up? do you even put a tree up?

the same time you said. well, nobody really cares anymore which is sort of sad, my 11 year old brother is pretty much the only one, and I get really excited, but my sister doesn't live at home and my other brother doesn't care and neither do my parents really, so it's up to the 11 year old and I to do it, and whenever it's convenient for the both of us (meaning whenever i'm not working) we'll get together and do it.

About a week or two before Christmas, which means I'm often out of town/country.

The weekend after Thanksgiving?! Sheesh! My tree would be a serious fire hazard by the time Christmas rolled around.

Last year was the first year I had to go out and buy one (first year at Redlands); I think I did it the first wknd of December and it held up beautifully for the whole month.

Growing up we put it up on or about the 15th; and that was with my mom REALLY having to turn the screws on my old man.

Just about gotten out of the habit. By the time I get home to FL for the holidays every year, it's about too late to go through the effort. And I damned sure ain't trimming a cactus out here in the Mojave Desert.

I don't, but I've been considering putting the Charlie Brown Xmas tree up in my office.

I pretty much hate Christmas. I've never put a tree up (and haven't really had a place to do so in the past4-5 years anyway). This year apparently we get 2 trees. Femgar luh Chrihmuh.

my family usually puts it up a week or two before christmas. we used to chop one down, but stopped a few years ago. now it's just a regular tree.

this is the first year that i've not lived within a day's drive of my family, so i won't do anything with a tree this year. i'm actually supposed to go see my mother in puerto rico for christmas and i have no idea what she does about a tree. she tries to get a real one down there, but it's sometimes a little difficult.

actually, christmas is my LEAST favorite holiday of all.

i only decorate to try and convince myself that i should enjoy it.

halloween is #1.
thanksgiving is #2.

i could do without any other holiday except for.....memorial day, 4th of july and labor day...and that's because i like to get days off work.

I think we're going to get it next weekend. Which would be the 3rd. Any earlier and it'll dehydrate like crazy, despite how much water we give it.

We put our fake tiny tree on the coffee table during Christmas, which isn't for another three and a half weeks.

My wife put up ours today, while I was at work. I love it when stuff happens without me actually having to DO anything!

You put bread on the table, and bread in her pocketbook. Those are not "nothing".

Plus... Well...
