Wasn't what I expected based on the reviews. Singer songwriter type o' stuff. Definitely no Jeff Buckley. Decent enough I 'pose.

I was just wondering if it's worth buying.

Thanks!

Oh! Haha...hrm. Its interesting to a certain extent. I personally couldn't see myself listening to it over and over. Some of the songs are interesting because of the textures, but honestly, there really isn't any new ground being broken here.

Sorry if I was vague. I really haven't spent much time with it to be honest. It comes up on my itunes, and I enjoy it enough to not switch the song to the next. To me, its just plain ol singersongwriter stuff with some added goodies thrown into the mix. I highly doubt though that you'd be blown away by it, but maybe thats the appeal--that its just there and easy on the ears. Anyway, prefix mag had a nice little review of it. Not sure where I heard about this album btw.

Thank you Flying Rabbit!

Sorry, I was responding to Dalen. I guess I didn't elaborate on what I meant by "thoughts." I think I will hold off on buying it.

His song "Clinically Dead" is awesome (and it's on a bunch of the latest Radcliffe mixes).

i really dig the chad cd. that song clinically dead grabbed me right on the first listen, but ultimately it was the slower jams that crept into my skull. I kind of was lukewarm on the album as a whole for the first dozen listens but kept finding myself reaching for it. then one time, i guess conditions were just right and i swear my whole perception of the record twisted like 5 degrees and it all just slipped into place and became really important to me. i don't know if any of that makes sense...

I'm really digging the new Kingsbury MAnx record as well, by the way. I haven't seen any mentions of that record so I thought I'd recommend it. I almost wrote these guys off after a couple of disappointing albums, but this is as good as i hoped they could be.

new one out in august called "skelliconnection." didn't hear the previous one, but just listened to this for the first time today and it's really freaking good. some synth-pop, americana influences, interesting vocal lines and melodies. would call it anti-folk, if that helps, but it's just a neat lil record.

I listened to Infiniheart a few times but it didn't quite click with me. I'd like to hear the new one.

I thought about going to see him play here, but he was warming up for The Constantines, and I reallly, really hate that band.

He has a truly unfortunate prep school/dutch painter name, but I don't know his music.
