Boost yr volume on headphones by 400%. Wow. Nice if you listen in a noisy hellhole.

and this comes a couple weeks after the medical reports of hearing loss due to high volume reportedly from ipods.

I would like this... but I'm already deathly afraid of hearing loss/tinnitus...

I can always get it high enough to be at a respectable volume, no matter how loud the .mp3's are... I just feel bad for listening to it at 80% or so...

I'll keep my noise-reducing earbuds thanks.

the cover story in the free daily paper here one day last week was about hearing loss as a result of people listening to ipods (specifically) at loud volumes on the train. in the afternoon, i saw a guy reading the article and standing right next to someone listening to horrendous hip-hop at blistering volumes. it just seemed really funny then.

Well, what's nice about good amps (I have no idea if a Boostaroo is good, but IIRC, it's not) is not that you can boost the volume so much as that you get higher fidelity.

I recommend Headroom's line of mobile amps.
