im listening to the shape of punk to come by refused, remembering how great it is, and was hoping that you guys could give me some thoughts on nation of ulysses. are they what im thirsty for? and come on people, if you dont post im gonna have to do some school work. and now, you dont want that, do you? :(

Do it. You WON'T be sorry...NoU are one of my "touchstone" bands...I reccommend "13 point program" over "Plays Pretty", espec. if you're just getting into them.

Yeah, NoU are pretty sweet. If you dig them, you might get into the fucking champs which has the former guitarist of NoU Tim Greene.

I don't know if you've ever heard the band Unwound, but they would also be a good band to check out. I've been re-listening to their whole catalog recently(including singles) and can't believe I never got to see them live. I had the chance to see them at the Cog factory in Omaha on their tour for Challenge for a Civilized Society, but they cancelled.

And of course, you have probably heard the shape of jazz to come by ornette coleman.
