Heard the new song on the radio last week. This is a very very bad idea.

The idea is sort of sound, but the song isn't. It sounds like the Cars, enough, it's power-poppy enough, but it's also tired and anemic and trying way too hard to be clever-cute. They can't do anything about how decrepit they look in the video (I mean, Jeesuz, Runt, you OLD), but the song should have been more than just another Ringo-produced-by-Lynne type of toss-off.

is this band called steaming load of crap?

Well, I'd disagree there, I think some of Rundgren's albums are great. Like if Rick Springfield were a Mensa member.

They put the album together quickly to have someting to sell on the tour, but the record company appears to have decided to promote it harder than expected. All new tracks would have been a much better idea.

I dunno, I just read an interview with Ocesek saying pretty much "damn, these guys need money, and if I could tour just to help out Benjamin Orr's kids, I totally would".

shit, I don't even remember where I read that anymore.

either way, I'm not even gonna dignify this with a listen. Todd Rundgren is my least favorite Philadelphian ever.
