And it was awesome. Super low turnout. I counted maybe 15 people in the place? and on the man's birthday no less?

Shame.

I like his new solo album. Pretty chill. But of course, he played some Ride songs and I admit that's pretty much what I wanted to hear. "Dreams Burn Down" is my fav and I can't believe it was on the setlist. Goldrush backing band also of the great. Nice rock of the brit variety.

i really like his album. a lot more than i thought i would. i've also got a great acoustic live album he put out with some ride tracks mixed in the set.

goldrush not so much save for 1 or 2 tunes on the album. maybe i should listen again.

Did Ride have much success in the US? I don't think I even heard the name until a few years ago, long after they broke up.

quasi-unknown band + touring under your own even less well-known name + not much press = small crowds
