I was going to take Deena to Cafe Lula, cause she's never been there (Chicagoans, take note, on Kedzie right in Logan Square. If you prefer life on the east side of 94, you are sorely missing out. Slicker Park doesn't count).

Anyhow, she's busy doing work (i swear to god that's all she does), so i made a quiche. I know, i've been on a kick with those lately, but they're easy, they're good, and we only had four eggs left, and some cream to stretch it out.

Asparagus, red onion, red peppers, garlic, cheddar and sundried tomatoes.

Bacon and sausage on the side. Black coffee.

You?

Nothing yet - I predict a small lunch in preparation for a huge dinner at a friend's place in Westmont.

I had two jumbo mugs of coffee, two little debbie honeybuns and then a totinos party pizza at 11am.

I was actually planning on heading up to Phil's place.

Seriously, I had honey nut cheerios. Now it's time to do some laundry!

wow, do you eat like that everyday, promethium?

i just had cereal, but now i'm eating swedish fish and brewing some fine instant coffee (never ask your non-coffee-drinking roommate to buy coffee for you).

That sounds like it was a deceptively large meal.

Where do you put it all?

I gotta get her to work by two, but we haven't sat down yet. She's walking the dog.

How fast can you get over here? If not, just let me know when you want some breakfast, we dig company. And cooking.

Oh, um, wow. I have to go do laundry and there's no way I'd make it in time anyway. But thanks for the invite.

On work days, I bring a thermos of coffee, a sandwich, three honeybuns or coffee cakes and a gatorade.

I wouldn't say it is a large meal, just one of the most unhealthy on a day like this.

I usually eat much more for dinner, my metabolism in unbelievably high. I'll probably end up getting hyperthyroid disease like my mom has.

That looks horrible.

I bet it tastes pretty good though. Why is food so hard to photograph?
