... for the third time in two years. i already know the problem is the logic board, but they just replaced that shit like two months ago. wtf? it's like they keep just putting in faulty ones.

i seem to remember someone else having this problem a long time ago, but does anyone know if i can do anything about this?

I had one logic board conk out on me after warranty, and the logic board on my current bionic iBook replaced before warranty. Had I paid for either of these financial black holes, I might think differently about Mac laptops.

If it's just the logic board, they'll keep on replacing them free of charge. Just a design flaw in those older iBooks. I'm on my third logic board, but other than that, it's been a great computer.

I had a problem with my G3 wherein the screen would go dark. Seriously, like every 6 months for almost 2 years. Broke twice within a month, and I finally got the right people on the line, and they sent me a G4 for free.

this is what i'm talking about.

i've never been charged for a replacement logic board, but it's fucking annoying. i kind of need my computer, and i don't want to have to keep sending it away for a week every three months. grrr.

The first time my logic board died, it was a really spectacular thing to behold. The screen turned all different shades of post-modernism. It was quite beautiful, and I wish I had captured it.

That's what I'm waiting for, specifically an iBook that can run both OSX and Windows so I can do all the cool stuff I want with one computer.
