I just got a Starbucks gift card, and don't neccesarily want it for coffee. Any good CDs you can recommend from there right now?

I saw a few Coltrane CDs while i was in a Starbucks last year.

Actually, just spend the money on a french press, if they have any, best cup of coffee you'll have.

just order the cheapest thing they have coffee-wise each day, and spill it in the same fashion until the card runs out.

i don't think it's available anymore (maybe on the website), but their sweetheart 2005 compilation is pretty great.

I'm enjoying the Herbie Hancock disc he does w/ guest artists. It's here: http://www.starbucks.com/hearmusic/prod ... Fid=837239 Special guests are

If you're a Dylan fan, there's a disc there that looks way interesting. http://www.starbucks.com/hearmusic/prod ... Fid=841427

I've got the Sly comp, and it's ok. Greatest hits redone w/ special guests.
http://www.starbucks.com/hearmusic/prod ... Fid=836946

For some reason, the site makes it really hard to find music. I had to enter 'music' into the search box to find anything.

This one looks good: http://www.starbucks.com/hearmusic/prod ... Fid=685540

There's lotsa good stuff there that'll last a lot longer than coffee. I did a post a while back in here & got a couple recs- do a search.

Edit: here's my post: http://www.obner.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t ... =starbucks

This seems the most effectual.

There's that Dylan disc, and then some fucking Stones rarities disc.

All I know is, it has Dance Part II on it, so if you wanna send the rest of your life in Sunny Guantanomo Bay, I say pick it up

They have the Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack for like 13 bucks. Most definitely the best CD you're gonna find.

All my euro pals want the dylan gaslight one - totally unavailable there except as a bad boot. Not a huge fan myself, but if you're an early-dylan sort of person, seems pretty essential.

They sell cds at Starbucks? I don't think I've ever stepped into a Starbucks, I've never had the need to. Perhaps to use the bathroom, maybe.

I imagine the cds they have there are $20 a pop or more.

Starbucks is one of the last places you'd go to buy cds.
