Hello sir...
This one is radio related...
Are you familiar with radio station software like Maestro and/or Selector? I've decided to send in my application for a radio station job posting I found, but I'm not sure whether I should lie about knowing this software or not. Is it easy to learn if you're at least mildly a computer geek? I actually don't want to lie about knowing it... I just want to tell them that I'm familiar with it & could learn it quickly. Could I?

Maestro is an upgrade of Scott Studios automation/voicetrack systems. I've never used it, but we do use an older version of Scott's here. It's a computer program that coordinates the music library, the commercial library, spot library and announcer voicetracks together so that the programming can be preplanned and not done live or only partly live. No cueing anything up because the computer pulls everything up.
It's easy to learn, certainly easier than slipcueing and being a live DJ.
I wouldn't tell them you're familiar with Maestro, but you could say you've been acquainted with earlier automation systems and can pick up this one quickly.
I've never used Selector, which is more poppular than Scott's. It's an RCS Works system and I'm not familiar with their stuff.
I'm bad at technical talk, but I'll PM you when I get home and try to be a little more detailed.
