Thoughts on Kasabian?

My buddy in London mentioned them in an email the other day as some good boogy music she likes to play while dancing around her flat. I hadn't heard of them but I'm now intrigued after seeing them on the Q Best of list.

Can a wayward Obnist get a witness?!

their album is pretty good. has a dancey vibe, while sounding like cooper temple clause at times.

I downloaded it....

it was alright.. didnt hold me enough to want to own it....ill listen to it, and delete it i guess.

these guys have listened to screamadelica a little too much... but i have hope for them once they find their own sound.

This certainly does nothing to win me over; I listened to that album once, was completely unmoved and deposited it right on the shelf.

Screamadelica though... nice.

They've been getting a lot of comparison to Primal Scream which is definitely a plus for me.

Since all that springs to mind when I read "Kasabian" is "Turkish lesbian," I guess I've not heard this group yet.
