i read that the other day but didn't get to see the pictures. i wish i hadn't.

Holy shit. That's kind of fucked up. I don't know what to think about that. Bad judgement immediately comes to mind, however.

I can't say I've ever understood the fascination with this band. I always found their music kind of boring. The fact that journalists (and fans I guess) always play up the fact that he was a graduate student in biology has always perplexed me. Who cares?

That's what I thought about The Offspring. Dexter Holland was valedictorian in high school and is getting/got his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology. You'd think he could write better lyrics.

Yeah, him too. What's the big deal? I guess whenever you do a piece on a band, whether it be Offspring or Bad Religion, and you discuss band background, inevitably it's going to come up. But listening to fans, you'd think he was some sort of intellectual giant because he was in graduate school.

I would same about Decemberists, except I like 'em. I always see about how they are educated. Its just an angle other than "oh, here's this band who played covers and then made their way up the ranks and well, now sell some records."

If she's such a big fan, why would she post the pictures?
