Haha Sheik Yerbouti.

6 or 7 of my cds are (lost) in the mail so they should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. I don't know if I should post the things I got now or just wait until then and post it all.

60 Gig Ipod. I've got a 15 but I needed a lot more room (for when I go to college - I don't want to have to carry a shitload of CDs there with me) and the battery sometimes sucks on it.

CDs I received:

Combined 2-disc set of:

I've heard a few songs off of This Years Model from the second disc of My Aim Is True, but they were "early versions" and I don't know which versions i'll end up preferring in the long run, but the cd is really great sofar. I've fallen in love with Armed Forces already and I have yet to listen to Blood & Chocolate (Tom Waits is in a picture in the cd booklet!), I also wanted Imperial Bedroom but I didn't get that, but I did get a Best Buy gift certificate so I may invest in that but I also might save the money I got and the gift card and return the one disc version of Goo and save all of that money for an ipod in the future. I can't decide.

Except we're not in the third grade, this isn't school, we're not explaining anything, there is a purpose for it, and it's a major holiday.

So no, it's nothing like that at all.

Before you say anything, Dalen, remember the old adage:

I really shouldn't feel so entitled, but I got one for my birthday a couple of years ago and even sold my off-brand mp3 player in anticipation. Sadly, before I was even able to open it, my wife had to return it due to our fiscal situation at the time. So, not only did I not get the iPod, I had already gotten rid of my other mp3 player, as well.

Truly a sob story to rival Katrina and the Tsunami, ain't it?

Sorry, but that made me laugh! What exactly is the "purpose"?

to talk about what you got for christmas... like people do every year, only this is a messageboard and we have 9000 christmas posts as it is so why not have a "what you got for christmas" thread

it's not rocket science, you'd have to be pretty retarded to not understand the purpose of this thread. it's blatantly stated in the topic

If I remember correctly it was one of the guys who started the very same thread last year.

And there wasn't an issue over it.

I gave my wife an iPod Nano and Sennheiser PX100 headphones.

My daughters got a lot of plastic crap that they really enjoy but that will likely be gathering dust in the playroom within a few weeks. Oh, and some nice clothing.

I received a new coffee maker, some stemless Riedel wine glasses and decanter, $100 music gift cert, and some used vinyl (Wes Montgomery, Tower of Power, The The)

Hey i'm happy that you got the ipod, especially after that. That must have sucked to give up your mp3 player to end up having nothing at all.
Enjoy it! If you don't, sell it to me!

I'm sure Blue Milk will hook you up once he gets promoted. If not, I will personally take up a collection on your behalf from my fellow Obnii. You're good people in my book.
