Do you guys lose your vacation at the end of the year? I'm glad that California allows us to roll our earned vacation time over.

This year I get bumped up to 4 wks of vacation with the option of converting our 53rd week check/bonus into vacation time.
Nice this is I'll be able to cash all that out when I leave in March.

I'm part time (24 hours per week, usually in 3 days), but since I've been there five years I get 3 weeks of vacation (9 days) and one week of sick time (3 days).

My anniversary date is June, so I have 8 days of vacation to use before D-Day. That may not seem like a whole lot, but when you only work 3 days a week it's damn nice.

Being in the newspaper bidness, I don't get too many holidays. Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Christmas & New Year's.

Luckily had off today, or if I didn't my boss didn't call, so in any event yeah. The bad thing is I've been staying up until 4am, so tonight it is now 3am and I cannot sleep and I have to wake up in ohhhhh....4 hours. Its gonna be a long one.

Mine don't roll over until July... still have 9 vaca days left though. Then, seeing as this is my 10th year there, I get a sabbatical.

Starting, July 1: 25 vacation, 2 optional, 3 summer, accumulated 60 sick. 9 paid holidays in 2006. It pays to be lazy.

A global technology consulting firm (I'd rather not say the company).

Also, there are times between projects where I am unstaffed (eg now) where I am not using vacation days, but am not on a day-to-day project. These times consist of me usually watching tv and movies, and occasionally doing some computer trainings, all from my apartment. I also have to check my voicemail and email regularly. It's not so bad.
