I was always able to resist...with ease. But my bro dragged me to a Starbucks in Austin over the holidays where he forced me to pick out 8 songs to make him a mix CD from that song database of theirs. I got kinda bored so I bought a peppermint hot chocolate drink and upon my first sip - I instantaneously realized I made a mistake. I have made two more trips since then. I bought my first grande mocha today. I think I may be in trouble. I can't be both a chronic music buyer and mocha buyer too.

Don't they have that Green Iced Tea something or other there? I've been wanting to try that.

I didn't see it. I tried to further examine their "menu," but since I was wearing a Faint shirt, one of the guys behind the counter assumed I was a big fan of the Saddle Creek label and started talking to me about Cursive, Desaparacidos, Bright Eyes, etc.

Resist the cafe mochas. I've been addicted for over 3 years now and have finally accepted the fact that the day I stop drinking mochas is the day I'm cremated.

Yeah kinda like that, but not as flamboyant.

I worked at a REAL coffee shop for about a year, so I know quality coffee to ok and bad coffee. Trust me, Starbucks doesn't even rank in the ok. I'm going to be a coffee asshole here and say, you need to have hand-pulled, fresh roasted espresso to fully get a sense of the greatness of the bean. Starbucks, imo, sells you a flavor, not coffee.

I'm gonna try and get up extra early tomorrow before work and take a walk over to Starbucks instead of Dunkin Donuts.

I'm sure this is a shared view with other posters, but I don't get the fuss over Starbucks, coffee is mediocre.

I'm glad someone else thinks quiznos is high priced. I can't walk out of there without dropping a $10 bill. And yes, they are.

Hey I know, but I like to try and avoid death... especially since I'm bad and don't have those meds I'm supposed to take.

They always scald their coffee. Try making it yourself. The first time you get it right, you'll be able to tell the difference, then you'll never be able to go back.

I don't think the priciness of the 'Nos is as annoying as the fact that there's bacon in everything, including some of the mayo... Even when I ate meat, I wasn't into the bacon all that much...

And Starbucks = necessary evil. I prefer Coffee Bean if we're taking about chain coffee shops, but I need my caffiene...

BTW - I don't mess around with mochas/fraps/etc - the closest thing to non-coffee will be a vanilla latte w/an extra shot...

It's okay. Convient when I forget to make it myself in the morning. CC's is much better.

Gingerbread Latte, kids.

And, of course, the Green Tea Frappuccino. The Obner will vouch for it, as well.
