Love the Head of Femur cover of "The True Wheel". Brilliant stuff. Was that the inspiration for playing the original? It's almost like they have a little better feel for where the song could go than Eno did at the time. Of course, they don't have Phil Manzanera playing some of his most flipped-out lead guitar ever, but you can't have everything! It rocks much harder than the Eno/Manzanera version and drops the guitar solo so has a different and much more spastic feel, while still being faithful, albeit less subtle.

Love it that bands are starting to rediscover some of Eno's early stuff. A couple years ago a cool little band called Tracker did a great cover of Eno's "Somber Reptiles" on their Polk CD (very cool bit of Califone meets Mercury Rev type of indie rock that I like a lot) that gave me a whole new appreciation of the original, while also loving the new version. I wish even more bands would include a well done cover on their albums to help me keep the cobwebs off my record collection :)

Me, still been spinning that Voyager One Dissolver a lot. And the latest from Archer Prewitt that I just got. Also had some Tindersticks playing earlier. Love the Tindersticks. Speaking of covers, love their cover of Pavement's "Here" which is one of the songs that I played.

Man, I don't even know what the date is. Apparently no one's bothered to correct me or else none of you do either. I miss my Ironman Timex.

Actually it came up on random. But, cool, anyway.
Hadn't heard much HOF until the past month or so. Starting to like quite a bit.

I haven't listened to the remastered album yet (just picked it up this afternoon), so I can't say if it sounds better than the original version. Having gotten through most of the bonus disc, though, I can safely say that these extras are mostly of a very high quality and blow away the "Souvlaki" bonus disc. Is it worth picking up? Hell yes.
