This is like endless entertainment. There's always the possibility for a good video, sometimes they'll rattle off a few in a row. The Pixies, Liz Phair (from Exile in Guyville), the Replacements. But most of the time it'll be a total Beavis & Butt-head fest. Seriously, some of the worst videos you could ever imagine.

I highly recommend this! In fact, right now it's still on for another half hour.

Yes. I think they've shown it on regular VH1 too on occasion. I've seen it twice. They'd show The Smiths, Echo and the Bunnymen, Love and Rockets...a lot of stuff I'm not used to seeing.

Someone on the old thread used to post the video lineup whenever they'd show it. Alas, I don't have VH1 Classic anymore. Though I really would like to see that Jesus and Mary Chain vid that I haven't seen since MTV2 was a real channel.

Yeah, tonight was pretty stellar. Best trio was Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine/The Farm/Happy Mondays block. I'm a sucker for that late 80s/early 90s acid house dance stuff.

This is regular viewing around my place, the Sunday 2 hr edition at least.
I also loved it during the brief time they were showing six-hour blocks of Yo! MTV Raps. Man, I really missed out on that stuff the first time around.

I like it a lot, but they do rotate the same couple hundred videos a LOT. I wish they'd search around a bit more for obscurities

And that Eddie Trunk guy is one of the worst hosts/interviewers in the history of VJ's.

It's must-see TV. Until this came along, I'd never realized that Dio had so many dancing, scantily-clad women in his videos. He also seems to like swords a lot. VH-1 Classic is some of the best entertainment on TV now.

The video for W.A.S.P.'s "Wild Child" is one of the best/most retarded ever.

VH1 Classics had a bunch of specials on during the holidays. "Hangin' With" show had Paul Weller, Judas Priest, Depeche Mode, Lemmy, Rick Ocasek, Blackie Lawless, and more. Very informative show.

Finally a channel with decent music content.

It's always fun to see those old videos, but I never understand why they don't just run the old "120 Minutes", "Headbanger's Ball", & "Yo! MTV Raps" shows. Just slap the old episodes up there.

For that matter, I never got why the channel's not "MTV Classic" instead of "VH-1 Classic"...they play stuff that was on MTV, not VH-1.

But that's just me makin' sense.

From watching those, I've determined that Halford's dancing that should have clued everyone in early on.

If the body building scenes from "Hot Rockin'" weren't enough of a give-away.

I love this show. Unfortunately, my free expanded channel line-up expires Friday, so Wednesday and Thursday night are the last two times I'll be able to see it.

tonight is, like, great songs with mediocre or outright terrible videos night. "birthday" by the sugarcubes, "blues from a gun" by jesus & mary chain, "vapour trail" by ride, and "i wanna be adored" by stone roses in the last half-hour.

I've got this set on the DVR. I love it cause they show videos from the 80s that I never saw and then stuff from the early 90s that I did see.

Only negative really is that they seem to play Bush videos a bit too much.
