I see that it is.
I still have a few discs to soak in, and i'll get mine in just before the deadline.

then i can get back to listening to 2006 releases, like the new Paper Airplane Pilots disc that I only listened to once in my attempt to hear as many 2005 releases as possible.

I feel like the deadline date should have been earlier. I'm completely unreceptive to 'best of 2005' lists anymore. I'm already in 'looking forward to 2006 releases' mode.

I as thinking the deadline was too early because of all the discs I usually get for Christmas that I need to absorb.

But I get your point that it's sort of like, yeesh, another list.
But remember:

THIS LIST IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE IT IS CHOSEN WITH PEOPLE IN THE KNOW THAT HAVE TASTE.

I heard exactly 21 albums. So it was a matter of dropping off the one Bright Eyes disc and just ranking the rest.
