i did a search after I posted. haha. I noticed a couple people mentioned it. I suspected early on the whole thing, but then I kinda forgot about it until the last gift box.

That's uhm... one pretty sick twist.

But I felt about it the same way I did with "Usual Suspects", beyond that twist it was a bit overrated

I liked this although I had the ending figured out pretty early on. Even so... solid Netflix rental right hurr.

The fight scene in the hallway is whole reason to see the movie.

Everything else is pretty meh, and typical Asian cinema over-the-top melodrama.

I just got A Better Tomorrow II in the mail last night. I haven't seen it in about 10 years and I'm pretty sure it's not gonna hold up very well. Visitor Q is set to arrive for the weekend. That should tide me over for a few months...

Stylistically much better than mostly anything in American cinema. The stuff that this guy pulls out from under his hat is on par with the crazy stuff that Gondry does. I was highly impressed with it.

If you rent Three Extremes, Chan-wook Park had the best story in it. Takashi Miike's story was really pretty boring and Fruit Chan's was decent.
