I concur. I reach for this one more than all the other ones I own. The best era, the best sound, and if I was old enough to have seen a live show, I'm sure I would've said best live show.

Comparing Genesis to the Ramones is like comparing Englebert Humperdink to James Brown.

Please do not overlook the early "Phil Collins-vocals" era, either. Trick of the Tail and Wind and Wuthering are friggin' awesome albums, and are more solid whole-albums than the Gabriel era discs. BUT while the Gabriel era's albums are less solid as a whole each, the period yields much higher quality classics - "Supper's Ready," "Dancing With the Moonlit Knight," "I Know What I Like," "Firth of Fifth," "Watcher of the Skies," "The Musical Box" - these are the songs that defined Genesis prior to The Lamb, which you also need to digest in its entirety (and is the best of the Gabriel-era, as I'm sure you already have heard.)

Which one is not? I'm just curious . . .
