I know someone on here is a huge early Genesis fan. I got Nursery Cryme and Selling England...any other treasures from this band?

Just PM paladisiac and you'll soon discover that there are roughly 47 "best" Genesis albums.

It's not from their early days, but I've always been partial to Abacab.

If you like these two, you definitely need to check out Foxtrot and And the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway

I concur. I reach for this one more than all the other ones I own. The best era, the best sound, and if I was old enough to have seen a live show, I'm sure I would've said best live show.

in full:

There is lambswool under my naked feet.
The wool is soft and warm,
- gives off some kind of heat.
A salamander scurries into flame to be destroyed.
Imaginary creatures are trapped in birth on celluloid.
The fleas cling to the golden fleece,
Hoping they’ll find peace.
Each thought and gesture are caught in celluloid.
There’s no hiding in my memory.
There’s no room to avoid.

The crawlers cover the floor in the red ochre corridor.
For my second sight of people, they’ve more lifeblood than before.
They’re moving in time to a heavy wooden door,
Where the needle’s eye is winking, closing in on the poor.
The carpet crawlers heed their callers:
We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in to get out.

There’s only one direction in the faces that I see;
It’s upward to the ceiling, where the chamber’s said to be.
Like the forest fight for sunlight, that takes root in every tree.
They are pulled up by the magnet, believing they’re free.
The carpet crawlers heed their callers:
We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in to get out.

Mild mannered supermen are held in kryptonite,
And the wise and foolish virgins giggle with their bodies glowing
Bright.
Through a door a harvest feast is lit by candlelight;
It’s the bottom of a staircase that spirals out of sight.
The carpet crawlers heed their callers:
We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in to get out.

The porcelain mannikin with shattered skin fears attack.
The eager pack lift up their pitchers - they carry all they lack.
The liquid has congealed, which has seeped out through the crack,
And the tickler takes his stickleback.
The carpet crawlers heed their callers:
We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in to get out
We’ve got to get in to get out.

Comparing Genesis to the Ramones is like comparing Englebert Humperdink to James Brown.

Just don't.

Please do not overlook the early "Phil Collins-vocals" era, either. Trick of the Tail and Wind and Wuthering are friggin' awesome albums, and are more solid whole-albums than the Gabriel era discs. BUT while the Gabriel era's albums are less solid as a whole each, the period yields much higher quality classics - "Supper's Ready," "Dancing With the Moonlit Knight," "I Know What I Like," "Firth of Fifth," "Watcher of the Skies," "The Musical Box" - these are the songs that defined Genesis prior to The Lamb, which you also need to digest in its entirety (and is the best of the Gabriel-era, as I'm sure you already have heard.)
