Shrimp Boat - "Country Wagon"
http://s18.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0KID ... NOGRWSCUFH

From their 1988 album Speckly (reissued in 2005 by Aum Fidelity - www.aumfidellity.com)

This is a different side of SB - more country and less smooth.
Let me know what you think.
And yeah, I am still trying to force these guys down your collective throats!

I need some of their other tunes to compare. I didn't get a chance to download any of them.

The threads should still be on here somewhere --- around page 10 or so. Are the YSIs still available? I don't know. It's worth checking out though, if yer curious.

My origianal YSI ("Honeyside")
looks like it's still good:

First track from disc 3 of the box set -- a later-period offering that is more similar to The Sea & Cake than "Country Wagon".

Todd, I must say that 'Country Wagon' was terrible.

Edit: 'Honeyside' is pretty good.

Try "Honeyside".
It's completely different.

Man, I tried, I really did, but both of those songs rubbed me completely the wrong way (like a 45-year-old pederast). Especially "Honeyside" in what I guess is supposed to be a chorus, the descending falsetto BLAH-blah-BLah-blah over and over. Ick, sorry.

Yea, sorry Todd, but so far I just don't understand your Shrimp Boat fascination.

But then, the same could be said for a lot of my favorite bands... to each his own!

To be honest -- they were a grower for me.
We had Duende in rotation when I was a college DJ and, for the longest time, I had a difficult time understanding what the MD saw in those guys. Then, one day it hit me like a ton of bricks.
I've been a fan ever since.
