Overall, I enjoy being in the military and the military lifestyle. However, the one thing that drives me batty is the "mass punishment" mentaly the the military, US Army anyway, has when dealing with a problem. Case in point. OPSEC (operational security) is a big deal over here and reasonable so, but it bugs the hell out of me that because a few soldiers said something they shouldn't have, many webpages including hotmail.com and the obner.org have been blocked by Websense. This type of think is what drove me out of active duty in the first place. A few soldiers do wrong and everybody is punished. ARRRGH!!!!! Now I have to stand in line a wait at specific terminals just to send an e-mail home or post something on Obner. I just needed to vent... you my now return to your regularly scheduled lives. Thanks to all who have e-mailed and replyed to my post as it means alot to me. I might not be able to post and check the obner as much as I would like but at least I'm here in the relative safety of post and not 'outside the wire' running convoys or patroling the streets. That's where the real danger is. I pray for there safety everyday.

Look at it this way: you're not worse off in that respect than people at lots of jobs. Meh.
