Ok, Im making my yearly trek to California on Thursday, Jan 10th thru Thur , Jan 26th....


Will be in Anaheim from Thursday til Saturday afternoon, at NAMM.

Saturday afternoon, I'm heading over to Hollywood, checking into my hotel, and going to Baja Fresh to fill the engines, then over to Amoeba....I may trek to second spin first, as i usually do better with credit for cd's there, and i can take that $$ and go shop at amoeba.. heh heh.

Saturday evening, I am meeting up with a friend who is staying with me for a few days....

The only things I have locked in stone, are
lunches with record labels on monday and tuesday, and the grindhouse film festival on tuesday night...

i was thinking, either Saturday afternoon for lunch and amoeba shopping, or Wedsnday after work, for dinner and amoeba shopping....

of course, if those two days dont work for you, we can try one of the others.....

Dov, are those dates correct? If so, which specific Saturday and Wednesday are you talking about?

so, saturday the 21st and wed the 25th are ideal, but monday night works too...

never really had any direct communication with any of the guys, but any LA Obner is welcome to join us of course.

Right now, either day looks good for me.

well, by the time you get to la, i won't be working in anaheim anymore... (FINALLY!!!). so actually, wed night would work out, but you'll have to let me know ahead of time because i'm going to be taking the metro to/from my new job (so i'll have to know whether or not to drive that day)... or sat would work too because i'm always up in la on the weekends anyway.

there might be a few shows going on, so i'll let you know if there's anything you might be interested in.

or perhaps, we can meet on sat then i'll take ya over to short stop, who knows, maybe dulli will be there!

editors are playing the el rey on the 18th. i'll have an extra plus one for that show, so i'm not sure if you're into them, but if you are, we should go.

also, on the 21st, the warlocks are playing spaceland. that should be a damn good show.

errr, i should learn how to read. my bad, for some reason i was looking at you coming in on wednesday.

let me know about the warlocks, i missed them the last time they were in town, so i definitely wouldn't mind seeing them.

i start the new gig on the 16th. not moving to la until mid-feb/march however.

Boy, I gotta get a job that allows me to travel.

oh hell yeah! blue line to red line then bus'ing it. i'm all about taking advantage of this so-called "public transportation" we have here in la.

It has its perks, but it does get tiring after a while...I travel 4-6 time s a year, and after 5 years of doing it, I wouldnt be sad if it was cut down to 1-2 trips.

I've never seen them. Though, I'm willing to go see The Warlocks. Saw 'em at Lollapalooza which continued my love for them.

I just started looking for a new place myself.

I can probably combine an amoeba visit with more apartment hunting if I haven't locked down a place by the time Dov's in town.

getting to Hollyweird either round 11am on Saturday, or around 2ish, depending on if I have to pick my frined up from the airport or not....from there, its dropping my bags off at the hotel..

then, I just wrote Tania about this, but I may take a trek to Second Spin in Santa Monica first to try and sell back CD's. I just amiled out a 26lb box of stuff I have saved just for this trip. Heh heh!!

Second Spin uses a computer to determine need and how mcuh theyll pay for CD's as opposed to Amoeba who seems to be by whoever check your box at the desk.....Whatever remainder SS does not take, Ill bring to Amoeba...

I think we are meeting there at some point....Then dinner, and then we arew goig to see the Warlocks at Spaceland...
