Tonights Euro lottery jackpot is 85 million.

I am such a dreamer but i have spent my first couple of million already.

Just interested in what might be on your shopping list?

Buy myself a lake in a remote part of France, build a sweet lodge by the lakeside, fill the lake with big carp and spend the summers fishing.

House in San Francisco & New york.

Set up my own record label.

First I'd pay off all my medical debts and Sharon's student loans.
Then...

I'd buy into Matt's label and give him the capital he needs to really grow that sucker. (Of course, I would be a not-so-silent partner and we'd build it together.)

Open a guitar shop where I could hang all day and play.

Buy a new house... and maybe a winter home in Southern Italy or just Austin or something.

Record and release albums whenever the hell I please.

Invest it and just enjoy.

I'd buy a villa in Santorini. I'd make sure my family is well taken care of financially for the rest of their lives. I'd also spend a portion of it traveling to villages in Africa and distributing food and other resources to the locals.

i love this question.

first, i'd set my parents up with enough money to let them live in luxury for the rest of their lives.

then, i'd hook up my friends with houses and college money for their kids.

i'd give some money to charity (probably cancer and domestic abuse).

for myself, i'd buy a flower shop and bakery, a couple of houses (chicago, ny, glasgow, manchester), a better bicycle, a car, and i'd finally finish college. i'd definitely travel to australia and maybe even check out a country where i wouldn't know the language.

the rest i'd blow on hookers and meth.

First thing? Vegas then Maui with friends. Then I'll likely move out of this goddamn fucking shitty province and head back to Ontario. After that, pay off personal debts and family type business. Then I would buy stuff that I like, followed by periods of activity/travel and do nothing. You know, live life, be merry etc.

I'd buy an apartment in the French Quarter and camps on Lake Rosemound and Grand Isle. Spend my days drinking and buying shit I don't really need. And a sweet ass motor home.

$85mil after taxes would be about $42mil

i'd split this up 3 ways:
$14mil for me
$14mil for wife
$14mil for baby

baby fund pays off everything kid needs, most of it saved

wife can do whatever she wants with her money. i'd recommend saving a bulk.

mine!

01) about 1/3 i'd put in multiple investments
02) about 1/3 i'd set aside to help out friends & family, mostly paying off all our family's debt, plus setting my mom & bro up.
03) about 1/3, say $3mil, i'd split up over the next 30 years to spend however i want. i'm good with $100k/year spending money.

probably go back to maui. go on some european trips. buy a place in nyc. maybe a place in jacksonville or tb, fl. spend time writing & goofing off.

this was brought up a few years ago when powerball was something awesome like $300 million.

i would send all my close friends (haven't decided where that ends) a good amount to keep them comfortable for awhile. that'd include my immediate family, especially paying back my parents for college, since they occasionally remind me that they want to see some return on what they dropped for my education.

i'd probably buy places in hong kong, new york, and london. then i'd live at each for a few months before probably renting them out or sending my friends there.

um... i don't know what else.

set up my 2 'pseudo-nephews'. (my friends 2 kids.)

third....
travel, travel, travel.
all over europe, but especially to ireland. then, i'd even travel somewhere tropical (which i'd NEVER do if i didn't win a ton of money. i'm not a 'hot smoldering climate' kind of girl. but, for that money....i'd become one.)
then i'd head back to the us and road trip it all across the country.

fourth....
purchase either a bar or a bookstore. hell, probably both.
(i'd call the bar 'the grateful shed')

fifth...
i suppose i'd want to buy a home somewhere. maybe a couple. so, i'd have to figure out where. and then do that. it certainly wouldn't be in ohio. though, i'd keep a place of some sort here for visiting family and friends.
