Another band I saw rereleased the other day was Jules and the Polar Bears. I think people on the board would dig em. They were unfairly categorized in the whole "new wave" thing in the early 80s, but they are pretty much a rock band.
That's great news. I think I included
Got No Breeding on my listmania - but their second album
Fenetiks was almost as good. I wonder if there's any bonus tracks?
For anyone wondering wha' the fu' - Jules and the Polar Bears were fronted by Jules Shear, who has had a long (and strong) solo career for over 20 years, but is perhaps best known for being the ex-boyfriend of Aimee Mann (and the guy who inspired all those bitter hate songs of hers) as well as writing songs that became hits for the Bangles ("If She Knew What She Wants") and Cyndi Lauper ("All Through The Night") and a couple others I'm forgetting.
Also in the Polar Bears was Stephen Hague, who later became better known as a producer and/or engineer of the Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Robbie Robertson, the Pretenders, and Blur.
