There is a guy shooting flares into the sky in front of my apt downtown Hagerstown, and no one seems to care but me. He is driving a pick up and is just stopping every so often, getting out and shooting into the air. Wtf.

They're to keep the cargo in while cutting wind resistance, supposedly.

I read where they actually create more resistance. If you have the tailgate up, it creates a bubble in the bed and the wind flows over it easier.

a couple months ago one of the neighbors was lighting fireworks, and by chance one of them landed on my deck and burned a hole in the carpet laid down on it. little bastards, could have started a fire.
