i just saw this video for the first time on vh1 classics. its a shame there had to be such shitty rapping on top of such a good beat. kind of reminds me of a weird proto-neptunes. had adam ant completely jumped the shark by the time this came out?

like currently? i'm not incredibly familiar with them, but i've gotten the impression that at one point he descended into suckitude. what else is worth checking out?

I have his greatest hits cd he put out eons ago. Has all the good songs on it.

Stand and Deliver still knocks my socks off to this day.

Kings Of The Wild Frontier, then Dirk Wears White Sox. The B-Sides comp is excellent, as is his Peel Sessions (if you can find it, it's way out of print). The rest don't come close to measuring up. They did a flexi "A-N-T-S" done to the tune of "YMCA" thta was cute.

I also like parts of "Prince Charming" for its goofiness, but yeah, after that the phrase "hit or miss" comes to mind.

People also tend to forget how odd something like Adam And The Ants was to kids watching the MTV in the early 80's. You know - you weren't hearing that stuff on the radio, fer Gawdsakes.
