* Somehow, someway, I remained blissfully unaware of this song until summer '97, when an aspiring metal vixen - but, really, just think of an Amy Lee (Evanescence singer) - picked this out on a borrowed guitar in Mexico, while bringing the vocal (of the original) down a notch or three.

That same summer, or maybe two summers after, a friend of a friend (that friend potentially being Nickisnotdead, if NIND is whom I suspect him to be) who was playing in a band with his friend, was hepped about covering the song. In what style, though, I know... They're band was a garage band, though, so I'm thinking it would have (tried to) sound like what the Strokes sounded like a few years hence. Just a guess, though.

But, enough... Ja, gata. (To mix German and Romanian.)

Would subbing fellow Madtown Obner Busty in my rubric solve that problem?

Unnecessarily self-effacing = FT

Does anyone else think all this word association stuff has the aura of "community-building ice-breakers" that are forced upon people at the start of certain meetings...

exclamation, huh?

sure, why not.

The only one that reached out and grabbed me was Molo which made me think of Fly Molo, a character from Orson Scott Card's book, Ender's Game, which makes me think of Haq because of his AIM screen name.
