Baden Cooke is an amazing cyclist, but I doubt he'll finish anywhere high in the Tour this year. I think Ivan Basso's gonna clinch it this year, but young Tom Boonen is on the rise...

also somewhat related, I saw a book this weekend that was a pictorial guide of the Tour through the years. It's truly amazing how much innovation has happened with the sport. Of course, back in the early 1900s, the guys all had to carry their own tires and tubes. No bottle holders. All single gear bikes. Hell, some of the pictures even had the cyclists smoking cigarettes while riding, and it wasn't uncommon for them to drink whiskey in the high elevation stages.

Any movement away from drinking whiskey is not innovation.

I agree, but blame the sportswear manufacturers... they're the ones that came up with all that moisture-wicking thermal layer stuff they wear now. Ha.

I forget which fabricator makes it, but some frame builder makes a flask holder for Konas or another brand like that.
