I can see why its popular but I cannot tolerate that M.I.A. album.

Strange. As I was reading this, I was thinking, I like about half of this.

I thought M.I.A. would win but was only one off. I like that album quite a bit but didn't crack my top 20, IIRC.

Nice surprise to see LCD Soundsystem get some major love at eleven. Also Bloc Party did really well in America after all, great. Kate Bush at 25 is surprising but is a critic's poll so does make sense, good album. Dungen at 31 is another very nice surprise.

For the pop music lover in me, nice to see Annie at 48 and Robyn (not out in the States) get a nod at 80.

I totally went for OutKast being #1 twice in the last 5 years... and I pretty much went for Kanye last year... but Late Registration, other than a couple of cuts, just didn't measure up. Maybe I'm wrong. M.I.A I respect but don't choose to listen much. I thought it was a good year in music... but looking at this top 100 it's kinda thin. I have been listening to too much post-rock-neo-electronica-ambient stuff. Least "resonant" P & J for me ever.
