Finally! I'm listening to the rough mix right now, and if I'm not very much mistaken, except for a couple of really minor vocal touch-ups on slightly mis-sung vocals, WE ARE DONE!!!!

3/5ths - It's Worth it for the Rumors (street date 5/16)

1) Trespass
2) See You Again
3) Caught in the Middle
4) This Time
5) Bright Stars
6) Lower
7) Trance of Obvious
8. Perfect Money
9) Cautious Memories
10) Monument of Faith
11) Come and Go

total running time - 38:25

I wrote and sing eight of the tracks, with the other guitarist writing 3 (he sings two, drummer sings one). It's the first album since my 1997 solo release where I appear as the predominant vocalist and songwriter (yeah- it took fucking long enough, I know)

I'm EXTREMELY proud of all the tracks. As soon as we're done mixing and mastering I will leak a couple of the tracks in this thread.

Nice!

But shouldn't it just be 3/5 (or 3 5ths)?

Hmmm I guess you're right. I will need to revisit this...

3 Fifths

The 3/5s Compromise is easily the greatest piece of legislation in this nation's history.

Everyone always thinks our band name refers to a regional bank (fifth third) or the three fifths compromise.

The album cover is actually gonna be three empty bottles of liquor on a beater's front grill

Sounds pretty cool, for some reason I thought this meant that one of your albums was 3/5s finished...reading comprehension and shit ;)

The three-fifths compromise was what sprang to my mind as well and I was ready to give a high five for being so brazenly politically incorrect.

Still, I'm looking forward to hearing some of this.
Congrats and good luck.

Good stuff, though I admit I read this as "Nearly 60% of the album is complete." Damn you, Dusty Chalk!!!!

Congrats, Matt. I know how damn hard you've been working on this.

Why is this my fault? Or is this on general principle? :p
