Yes, because LOTR showed no correlations to modern life; that's why it was a box office and critical failure. :wanker:

If you don't know what archetypes are, you shouldn't be writing entertainment pieces.

Hollywood gets serious ever year. It's almost as depressing as when it doesn't get serious.

I can think of an annoying press RELEASE:

'We are thrilled to have Lenny Kravitz with us on our creative journey and in this, our first high-profile music project' says Michael Persson, Global Brand Director for ABSOLUT VODKA. 'Not only is he supremely talented; his output, inspired by so many genres and eras of music, defies categorization, making him truly individual - a quality which means he is perfectly at home with the creativity of ABSOLUT.'

Be honest with yourself, Colin. It's obvious you're against homos.

Did they mean "years past when there were films that were entertaining"?

Last year had to have been a banner year in crappy movies. I've never seen such few movies before. And generally I've seen a number of the Oscar nominees. This year? Zilch. No interest in any of them, either.

All those Hobbits jumping around on the bed with Gandalf was a pretty gay moment.

I bet ol' Ian didn't spend his days looking up Liv's skirts.

"Elijah, young lad, let's 'discuss theatre.'"

completely agree. while i'm not the biggest lotr fan it sucks that they feel the need to diminish an oscar winning and very entertaining movie to make "hollywood" seem more intellectual (no wait, i'll stop laughing in a minute.)

i think the whole serious movie thing is almost a fluke. or overstated.
hello...bewitched anyone?

Crash was like a really pompous student film, with expensive actors.

Seems like the Weezer boys are feeling pretty good about their try at "Heroin". "[Moe] Tucker did have an amazing feel," Bell said, "but she was no Pat, and Pat pulled out an ‘Only In Dreams' type crescendo that I think makes that aspect of the song better."
