Is there a way to tranquilize a dog?

my cat just got in a fight about 5 minutes ago with a big cat from across the road and my dog kicked its ass.

This sounds like it might work...any side effects I should know about?

At this point, shooting it with a tranq dart would probably be the only thing to really give me a sense of justice.

This is what my vet told me to do. I have never seen any with my dog. How big is the dog? If it's really small you might want to give it less.

It's not big, prolly 25-30 lbs.

One of them highfalutin dogs.

I think I may just make her sleep outside, which would be way worse for her sensibilities.

I put some pics of her on that pets thread, I'll see if I can bump it.

My wife's cousin gave her a little highfalutin dog a whole benedryl and it slept for an entire day without waking.
