i don't think blackberry's US service is in too much danger, but the sidekick is color and looks cooler to this guy.

I agree with Haq... don't think anything is really going to happen to Blackberry.

But in the interest of looking at alternatives, there's always the Palm Treo and Verizon is introducing a new device called the Samsung i830. The selling point of that product for me is that it can be used internationally... most Verizon products cannot.

Hmm, the Treo looks interesting and would allow me to stay with Sprint who I am very satisfied with....also appears to be a bit smaller then the sidekick as well..

i gotta see em both together.

I think T-Mobile's coverage varies on where you go. I get great reception here in Portland. Better than AT&T/Cingular, better than Verizon.

edit: also, at the time, T-Mobile was the only phone service provider that had international service, without having to go through the rigamarole of either renting an international phone, or having two phones. Now if Verizon can get their act together and showcase the partnership they're always touting with Vodafone, then maybe they'd get more of our Treo business.

I have the treo and i bought my wife the sidekick. Mine works better for me in the hospital because I can use the Palm features, but the sidekick works better for my wife because its more user-friendly.

I dont like that the sidekick isnt compatible with the bluetooth headsets though.

I love my treo.
