driving in the car i just heard some amazing song by bebo (i think he said bebo) valdez. cuban guy, left cuba right after the revolution and lives in switzerland (or some such place). the public radio station won't post the playlist until sometime over the weekend. dj said it's from some new double cd and dvd package out.

i'm not registered with all music so i was wondering if there was anything you could tell me about this guy. he's got a son who is also a musician.

Other than to say he's a big name cuban pianist and that he's old (I'm too lazy to look and see if he's 80 or 60), I can't give you much personal history off the top of my head. I don't have any albums which are him only, but I do I have Bebo & Cigala "Lagrimas Negras" which paired him with Diego El Cigala, a Spanish Flamenco singer. Its outstanding. I think it was top 3 for me a year or two ago. I also have the Soundtrack to EL Milagro de Candeal which he was featured in along with Brazilian, Carlinhos Brown. All my cds are all packed to move, but I'll revisit this and post more once I get situated.
