The incident was reminiscent of the band's performance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1967, when the host demanded the Stones change the lyrics to "Let's Spend the Night Together." As ordered, Jagger sang "let's spend some time together," but he rolled his eyes for effect.

Oh... and the lyrics:
"If you rough it up, If you like it you can slide it up, slide it up" didn't suggest anything to them? c'mon.

So silly.

I don't see what the big deal is if the band knew something like this would happen when they hit the stage. Don't perform at all if you're so upset by censorship.

I have no problem with Super Bowl officials turning down the volume for corny songs like "Rough Justice."

Seems disengenuous to get the publicity for playing when they knew the network monkeys would censor and then a second round of publicity for crying about it. If you don't like the terms, make a stink beforehand and refuse to play.

They SHOULD have "agreed" and then jerked off all over the stage.

Yeah, that was funny. Keith Moon did that once, too. That man was a comic genius.

i laughed really hard at some footage of the who i saw where some song is playing and they're all throwing cake at each other, and moon is acting like he's eating it but he's just smacking his mouth open and close real big and it's getting all over his face.
