These things can go flat or if done right capture the spirit of Busby Berkeley and cause the disorientation of a head film. My favorite thing was the Ferrari spinning in a circle for no apparent reason. The disco medley was a nice touch even though the songs were a bit obvious and not the trashiest. Yoko was there, 'nuf said. And Susan Sarandon? They said it was because she was an activist or whatever but we know it was really cuz she was in Rocky Horror.

Holy shit. A good friend of mine bought those exact same pants at Senior Week in OC. To go with it, he also got the American flag weightlifter shirt and a red bandana, then rented a moped and rode up and down Baltimore Ave.

Yeah, I actually enjoyed the little bit that I watched (saw the US team come out as well as a few other countries) but that music was really WTF?

Oh well. I told the gf that it would be more interesting if the Opening Ceremonies consisted of the athletes cutting wrestling promos.

"Listen brother, when I walk that aisle to the luge platform, looking as only I can look...WHOOOO!" ETC.

Googling ol' Richie's address now, and taking applications for the lynching mob.

The highlight for those who missed it... a ferrari formula one car comes out and does fuckin donuts! Smoked up the whole area.

Would've been SOOO much more impressive if he burned the donuts into the shape of the Olympic rings.

I can't argue with that.

You should've seen the child-like, beer-enhanced delight on my face as I realized it wasn't a fake car.

I think that formula one on ice should be an olympic sport.
