Here's the idea: come up with as stupid an idea for a Simpsons episode as you can. One that, while it sounds really stupid, could very well be funnier than the drudgery they've produced the past few years.

Keep in mind that continuity, character development, etc. doesn't play a role to the show anymore.



Here's mine:

When Moe's bar is blown up, Homer seeks refuge at a new establishment down the road where he meets a bunch of new friends who, unbeknownst to him, are an Iraqi terrorist group.

Flanders' attempt to bomb an abortion clinic is thwarted by Nelson, who's bringing in Sherri and Terri for an "abort one get one free" special being offered by Dr. Nick. Hilarity ensues.

dude, they've done everything.

Bart gets a part time job at the kwik-e-mart...and Apu keeps shooting him as a bizarre hazing ritual.

Flanders is blessed with visions of God actually speaking to him.
Flanders finds God kinda boring, actually and becomes an agnostic.

They've never done an entire episode focusing on Dolph. That truly would be the final frontier.

Mayor Quimby "accidentally" shoots Hans Moleman during a hunting trip.

Abraham Simpson dies.

chief wiggum has to pass a physical to stay on the force.
gets hooked on meth for its weightloss/energy benefits.
ralph finds out and goes to reverend lovejoy for advice.
the rev takes advantage of the situation, ie muy bad touch.
emaciated wiggum finds out
takes a huge hit of meth
goes on a sunday church rampage.
tries to kill lovejoy in the middle of the sermon.
gets distracted because he thinks everyone is a giant spider thats trying to touch him/ stealing...his appetite.
kills the entire cast.
fin.

I'm thinking they have yet to fully pursue every conceivable Sideshow Bob storyline. He's got to have AT LEAST another dozen or so episodes in him.

Duff Man turns out to be a serial killer. OHHHHHH YEEEEAAAH!
