I thought he would be out if they didn't sign a new deal and the salary cap was eliminated, but this surprises me a bit. I sort of hope David Stern follows his buddies leave and retires too, I think the NBA needs some serious work again.

Sucks for the Falcs because I've heard before that Rich McKay might be considered to replace Tagliabue.

doesn't surprise me. this new agreement will seal his "legacy". no need to stick around for the next big problem to come up since he baaaarely was able to work this one out.
