two things that made me laugh out loud:

1. the metal guitar shredding behind the "The Defenders" graphic

2. How they kept calling it the "N" word. Just sounds clunky. Would they say the "F" word, or refer to it as an explicative.

Exactly. Not only that, but they have it written on paper and spoken throughout the entire segment. If you are reporting that someone said Nigger or Nigga, then you can report it without dancing around it.

Fucking hilarious. Even better that they got a black woman to interview him. However, assuming the teacher used the word in the way he said in the interview, I have a hard time believing the student didn't actually say it first.

Last week, a student threatened to knife me in front of his entire class.

Needless to say, he wasn't polite about it, and called me a nigga too. I pointed out to him that I wasn't black, but he didn't seem to care. Then he made a comment about my mom, and then I called the cops.

And that's not on the news, why?

I get called nigga 10s of times a day, by latinos. Sometimes by black kids. Never by the polish kids, they're quite nice. It's because their parents beat them into nice human beings.

That teacher is hilarious. I can't imagine that guy handling a class day in and day out. He's downright nebbish.

Also, I like how they first established the fact that the kid is successful and studious. Subtext: "Ironically, this student is hardly an 'n-word'." Kind of like the beginning of "Three Men and a Baby" where they have a quick montage over the opening credits establishing the fact that "These guys ain't homos."

For the record, I don't really use the 'n' word (unless it's after watching the Boondocks or the two times I've used it on this board to be crass) out in public or direct it to anyone. I've always found it annoying to be called "nigga", and usually tell people not to call me that.

But yeah....I don't think you should even be able to quote the word if you're a white guy who has a passing resemblance to Colonel Sanders. O_o
