From a total amateur, what does it entail? What do you do? How are you connected to the bands on it? How did you start it? So on, so forth.

In a nutshell, it involves money, countless hours of work, and a lot of luck....

I do royalty accounting and grant writing among other things current and past. Hard, stressful work, in a variably tense atmosphere, but very rewarding from time to time. The work I do is very dry and glamourless, but I should be getting involved in more production and content-related things, like now! My relationship with artists is usually arm's length, until recently. Wonderful community of artists and business kids in the extended family.
