I used to read Mike Royko, until he died (what was it? 10-15 years ago?).
Now I read Mary Mitchell in the Chicago Sun-Times.

When I peruse Salon.com, I usually take a gander at Carrie Tennis' column.

I always read Howard Kurtz.

I read a bunch more but since NYTimes went to pay to read I dont get to read Maureen Dowd and Frank Rich; so everybody else is just kind of random based on the subject.

I also read David Brooks so I can understand my father a little better.

I like David Brooks sometimes, but I haven't read him in a while.

For Christmas a couple years ago, my best friend got me a brass letter opener with "Tha L.O.D." (Letter Opena of Death) engraved on the handle.
