This is more directed for people who work from home or telecommute regularly. Yesterday I had to clean up a virus infection that an employee in my office brought in from his home computer, via a burned CD of games. This got me thinking - are there any businesses out there that supply antivirus software for employee's personal PCs?

I know when I worked for Booz-Allen, they wanted my home system to be like my work system as much as I did, so they provided access to company-wide licenses where they could (including virus protection software), and discounts otherwise (M$ Office, etc.).

I offered it to one of my employees who uses his own computer sometimes with one of my work computers.

He declined, but did show me that everything was up to date on his AntiVirus.

I was satisfied.

I don't know if they do anymore, but Boeing did when I worked there between 1997 and 2000. It was pretty cool. We also got a massive discount on the Microsoft Office suite - $15! The disc was branded with the Boeing logo, but the software was normal. I was supposed to "surrender" the disc when I quit, but no one reminded me and I didn't want to remember, so I've still got it today . . . of course, I haven't used it in years since it's so old.
