They seemed good. I'd never seen them before, so I have no frame of reference, and I had never even heard a single track from Takk prior, but I still had a blast. I still can't understand how the frontman can maintain his voice at those levels for so long. They all seemed really in tune, probably helped that it was the first show of the tour.

The girls of the group opened. I forget what they call themselves, but they did sample Trio at the end. That was sweet. Plus they're nuts at banging on bells.

The finale absolutely destroyed me. A very good show. Anyone else planning on catching them later down the road?

They've been touring since the summer.

In any event, the show was amazing when I saw them. The star light gel thingie was amazing. I really dug when they played behind the screen as well.

I'm seeing them for the first time in a couple of weeks. I'm really looking forward to it and have no idea what to expect.

Wow. That's cool. I am glad you enjoyed them.

It was my first show for Sigur Ros as well. I was running on 3 hours of sleep and some travelling on the day so some of the songs were like lullabies for me. Not because they were bad, but because some Sigur Ros isn't really designed to pep you up.

I have to agree with the finale though. My friend, who has seen them 4 times I think says that on this tour they have ended with that song every night. It's a great song. It's off the parenthesis album. The last track.

Sigur Ros is one of a few bands that I have enjoyed seeing live much more than just listening to the cd. Great show.

I also popped Timis' cherry for meeting Obners. I hope it was good for you. haha.

from the sigur ros website:

Quote:
working titles

below are are the titles the band has for the otherwise officially untitled songs themselves. they need something to write on the setlist, don't they?

untitled 1 - vaka (the name of orri's daughter)
untitled 2 - fyrsta (the first song)
untitled 3 - samskeyti (attachment)
untitled 4 - njósnavélin (the spy machine)
untitled 5 - álafoss (the location of the band's studio)
untitled 6 - e-bow [georg uses an e-bow on his bass in this song]
untitled 7 - dauðalagið (the death song)
untitled 8 - popplagið (the pop song)

saw them on Valentine's for the 2nd time. They are always mind-blowing. I absolutely loved Amina. One of the best live shows out there.
