probably the highest fi bestcellar recordings to date

1) Caught in the Middle
2) Trance of Obvious
3) See You Again

I like 1 the best, with 3 then 2 coming next. 4 isn't my favorite, but it's the first 30 seconds that don't quite drag me in. Some parts remind me of Bob Mould, so that's not a bad thing for me at all. Overall, I like it, though I'm not a big bongo guy.

EDIT: Four reminds me of Heatmiser for some reason, I'm looking for the reason why.

Hmmm..ok well I know that you've redone the vocals on #1 since I first heard them(phil told me last night you did them yesterday). So I can't offer up a new opinion on 1 since it's unavailable and you know my original feelings and I'll keep them to myself.

2-My favorite of the three. I think it suits you vocally much better. I like the tune. I like the lyrics. Yes, love this one the best.

3- I don't like this one as much. I likedt better when you used to play it with the old Olde Style outfit. In fact it was one of my favorites you used to do. Now it has too many drums/bongos what have you in it. It's rather distracting. And I think you took it up a higher note vocally then you used to.

4-It just doesn't do anything for me. The way you open it up with the vocals, it feels too "in your face". Again, too much with the percussion in the background, felt too distracting.

I would like to hear the re-mixed version of 1. So hopefully I can later.

(and I'm not being harsh on matt, I'm just one of his toughest critics..he knows it.. )

Jen - the first one has been relinked (see my reply above)

I did re-do the vocals, but not yesterday....I redid #4 yesterday. Caught in the Middle was redone last week.

yeah, as I mentioned before, that #4 is a throwaway track....I never really liked it but I wanted to get it down to see how it came out. To answer your question Jen, "See You Again" was never changed in terms of how I sing it.
