32.50 + 1.50 building charge plus 8.80 convenience charge at 7:00 P.M. at The Congress Theater, a decent venue.

That you are even considering this is an example of your mental state.

Save your money for your LA excursion

According to their website and ticketmaster's site, no opener.

I'll probably go, i'll probably be flying solo, but it's close enough to my house to bike, or even walk if the weather's nice. And I can get a great cuban steak sandwich on the way there, or back, or both, since it's so early.

And I could go see Richard Butler afterwards, but I don't know what his show is like. I dig the Furs, but not Love Spit Love so much.

Duh. This is the correct answer. I'm glad I can count on you for sage advice. Everyone else's advice is sound too, but not considering the L.A. expedition.

If you have that kind of $$$ to throw around, sure. I like The Prodigy, but I wouldn't pay that much to see them.

I'd hesitate to pay $40 for most bands I like. Let alone the Prodigy.

Prodigy > anything you like

This is the band that sang 'Firestarter' and 'Breathe', right?

I'm seeing the Prodigy on Wedsnday.

I saw em twice a few years ago, and the both WERE THE BEST LIVE shows i have ever seen....not exaclt from a musical standpoint, but from the energy they get going thru the crowd...It's allmost magical.

I can't wait for Wed.

and while weirdo Keith Flint got all the attention during their brief stint of popularity hwere in the US a few years back, its MAXIM who runs the show!

no more Leroy though...

Their first three albums are golden.......plus their supposed to be outstanding live (Glastonbury 96 anyone). I don't get all the hate. $40 may seem like a lot but when i lived in Boise, Idaho i would have gladly pay $40 to see Spiritualized (a british band with great albums that don't come to my neck of the woods very often). You'd probably spend that $40 on a mediocre dinner or a few beers somewhere. Go.

my guess is that a good portion of it will probably just be DJing if there is no listed opener. I've still never seen the Prodigy, though when growing up they were bad ass.

I didn't go. I figure, that's a tank of gas towards L.A.
