FOX announced Wednesday (Feb. 22) that it's forming a new mini-network that supply prime-time programming to stations left out in the cold by the pending closing of UPN. The new venture, dubbed My Network TV, will launch Sept. 5.

To start, My Network TV will be run completely in-house, with FOX's News Corp. sibling Twentieth Television providing the programming to FOX-owned stations in 10 big markets. It will offer two hours of primetime Monday through Saturday, with most of that filled by two telenovela-style shows, "Desire" and "Secrets."
