...cause it seems some of my co-workers (some of them VPs) have complained about me. Well, that's a shocker. I always thought I was nice to people.

I hope this doesn't affect me going up in the company. Once someone has an impression of you, it's hard to convince them otherwise.

Bummer. :(

I get this EVERYWHERE. I don't get it. If someone would just pay me to hang and get drunk and engage in philospical conversations, I'd have a good life ;)

Straight up. I've been searching in vain for a "Great Expectations"-esque benefactor for the last dozen years. Someone who just pay me on spec to be awesome.
Maybe I should've fetched a file for that seedy character in shackles who came up on me when I was 10. Let this be a lesson to you all. Opportunity usually knocks once. When it visited my door, I was on the pot.

maybe it'll help your impression if you 'go down' on the company. ;)

What you should wonder is if it will affect you going down on, I mean in, the company.

(sorry, it was too easy)

Oh, don't worry about that. It never happens anymore.

That's spirit. I don't think I've had a job where I could've pulled that off.

Not a good idea on a day like this now.

I suggest switching whatever plans/appt/what have you that needs you to leave early.

Or else watch your ass get chewed out.

I really wish you hadn't used that phrase in an OPA thread.
