So earlier this week.

My friend's band's music video came up randomly on MuchMusic, sandwiched between Interpol and Stars.

They were doing a thing on how busy one company was, and they used a friend of mine as the poster girl for being overworked. I enjoyed that. She is a pretty hard worker, and I worry about her sometimes.

I frequently hear my friend Dan's band in the background on "Pimp My Ride."

one of my friends is a co-host for a chicago tv show. he's on tv here every night. it's still a little odd to see him like that, even though it's been a few months.

Last time this happened an old friend of mine, hadn't seen him for like five years, had been kidnapped in the Gaza. Scared the shit out of me. They let him go a few hours later, but damn.

Apparently, 3 sisters I grew up with at summer camp are making it in fashion in New York – The Beckerman Sisters. I learned this on national TV recently.

A few years ago, this prick I went to high school with was on a national reality TV show called The Lofters. That was weird.

one of my good friends works for the late late craig ferguson show, so hes on the show quite a bit. but its still weird seeing him on tv.

one night i was in a bar.....and they had the university of cincinnati basketball game on...... i wasn't paying any attention to it.....
but then i happened to look up and see this kid i went to school with
for 8 years (but hadn't seen in, like 8 more.) that was kind of weird.

A few years back I was watching the Simpsons with some friends, and a commercial for Ally McBeal came on, and in the background was a friend of ours from college. I waited until they showed the commercial again, to verify, and then pointed it out to my friends. We taped the episode, and she was in it a lot, but always in the background.

my ex has two actors in his family and one as his best friend.

his cousins are always on commercials, they've both been on a few episodes of friends (one was part of the couple making out in the airport in front of monica and chandler on their honeymoon), and one was in the movie, elizabethtown.

his best friend has been in changing lanes (the granddaughter of the guy ben affleck's trying to screw over), lorenzo's oil, hotel new hampshire, first wives club (diane keaton's lesbian daughter), as well as a bunch of theatre productions.

even though i've known these people for years, i still get giddy at the sight of them on television.

also, a girl that i went to grade school with was an anchor on channel one when i was in high school. that was weird.
