Where were you nerds on this one? Lo-fi synth pop that makes me feel nice inside. Read about them in Paste Magazine and sounded like my dream band. Compared them to OK Computer/Grandaddy/Flaming Lips.

MIDLAKE

Pretty concise and accurate review of Bamnan and Slivercork from the BBC

EDIT: Had spelled the album name wrong. Thanks Nude Dude.

RIYL - Soft Bulletin Lips, Sophtware Slump Grandaddy, trumpets, Casios and tambourines, French whores.

It's Bamnan isn't it? Yeah, it's a great disc. My fav track right now is "Kingfish Pies." I heard about them a while back through Eisley. Strange how a Texas band gets signed to a UK based label.

good album. i posted the song kingfish pies on chase's online mix a few weeks ago. mix up grandaddy, flaming lips and radiohead and you've got midlake. definitely worth a listen if you like any of those bands.
